The 'picturesque' Bournville Model Village is just two minutes walk from Cadbury World (follow the signs to Bournville Village or just ask!). The Green, at the centre of the village, is surrounded by many important buildings and shops, designed and built between 1905 and 1925.  (See virtual tour in main menu).

Selly Manor Museum and Minworth Greaves is open every day (April to October). Entrance: £2.50 adults, £1.50 concessions and OAPs, 50p children. See ‘Selly Manor’ from main menu for further information and special events. The Bournville Carillon has 48 bells (the largest is 3¼ tonnes) and is played by a keyboard, struck with the hand. Free guided tours (by Arthur Casey) of the green and the carillon leave from the Resthouse, on the green, at 12pm and 3pm (Saturday). These coincide with the playing of the carillon (by Trevor Workman), take a trip up the tower to see this lovely instrument being played and admire the fabulous view of Bournville. The carillon is also played on Friday evenings and at other special events, see 'Carillon' from main menu for further information. Food, refreshments and a wide range of Bournville souvenirs are available from the shops next to the green, as well as the carillon centre and Selly Manor museum. A free car park is located behind the shops.   Click here for a map and travel information. |
