Carillon recitals and events take place throughout the year, further information is available from the Carillon Visitor Centre in the Rest House which is on the Village Green. The Visitor Centre is open daily Wednesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 4.30pm.   It exhibits some fascinating historical material relating to Bournville and its carillon and a wide range of arts and craft goods are for sale which make excellent presents or souvenirs.   Also, CDs and audio / video cassettes of Bournville and other Carillons are available.   Proceeds of sales go towards further promoting the Carillon. Information concerning Bournville Carillon and associated events is also available by visiting the Carillon website (a taster of the music too!) or from their brochure, click here (pdf format, 30 secs to download). |
Visits to the Carillon: Why not make a booking for friends and family to see the Carillon being played.   You will be truly amazed watching Trevor Workman (Carillonneur to Bournville) or Ray Aldington (Assistant Carillonneur) play this wonderful instrument.   Guided visitor tours (by Arthur Casey – Maintenance Engineer & Historian) start from the Rest House at approximately 12 noon and 3.00pm each Saturday.   The view from the top of the Carillon tower is quite a sight!   click here for a map. The Carillon is played every Saturday at 12 noon and 3pm.
