The allotments benefit from excellent facilities; a meeting shed, a shop (open Sunday morning), wheel barrows, water, security and more. As well as vegetables and soft fruit many people also grow flowers which add much colour.
It is made up of 57 plots, the area of each one is about 400 sq. yrds (for example 20 yrds x 20 yrds) or 200 sq. yrds for a half plot. This totals approximately 5 1/2 acres which is leased from Bournville Village Trust.
Previous experience or knowledge is not necessary to care for an allotments because other members will be pleased to pass on advice.
